I went with Option 1. 2.5 years and not so much as a hair of movement.
For that matter, the ONLY places on the entire plane where I have safety wire are:
1. The bolts holding on my AeroInjector air filter
2. The AeroInjector itself has a safety wire holding it to the intake tubing just in case a backfire tries to blow it off.
3. Between the joints between the two exhaust pipes (in case the springs fail).
Other than that, none, just as (not) called for on the plans. After 5 years of annual condition inspections the only fasteners that have ever moved and I've had to tighten are the exhaust flange bolts. I have torque seal on most fasteners throughout the plane.
