Nikasil cylinders

Postby Waiex 176 » Thu Jan 22, 2015 3:08 pm

Hello
I'm considering a turbo upgrade. Does anyone remember why the Nikasil cylinders weren't recommended to be used with the turbo? Too light?
Thanks

I don't think a specific official reason was ever given…… in typical Sonex fashion it was just 'recommended' that they not be used. Kinda like the ground adjustable prop…. stuff just disappears from the catalog.
I did, however, change my Nikasil cylinders for cast iron ones for the turbo install

Listen to the ear webinar dated 10/30/14, Jeremy hints that they had a failure of some kind in the test cell...
