Aerovee exhaust headers

Postby floridasonex » Sun Jun 08, 2014 8:09 am

Has anyone used a different, tuned exhaust for the Aerovee? I have the 2 into 1 and it just doesn't make
sense to me putting two 1 1/2 inch pipes into another 1 1/2 inch pipe. Would it not flow better with 4 identical
length pipes?

I do have the original 4 equal length pipes. Can't tell a bit of difference from any other Aerovee.

The two cylinders on each side are not firing at the same time...so your are not in effect taking the airflow from two exhaust pipes and compressing it into one...

How long is each pipe?

Exactly long enough to reach from the engine to the exit of the cowl. In other words...I don't have a clue.
