SonexFlight Episode 32 - “2017 Look-back, 2018 Look-ahead, and Beyond" is available for download!

2017 is in the books, and there were a number of things that stand out. We look back at some of the more significant things to occur, review a few of the popular topics we covered on the podcast, and discuss the results of the 2017 Listener Feedback Survey. Lastly, we look ahead at a preview of the year we have planned for the podcast, and finish up with our thoughts on a “Most Wanted List for 2018” of things that we’d like to see Sonex Aircraft do, initiatives to focus on, or products to develop.

Thanks Tim. I'm looking forward to covering the AeroVee tips episode soon as well. I guess this is a good time to put the call out for AeroVee pilots that have lots of time and experience on their engines. If you can share your experience with others and help us cover this topic with the depth it deserves, we want you to join us on that episode!

Send me a note and we'll get you all lined up.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I know I’m not the highest AeroVee operator by a long shot, but I have a little over 300 hours on mine including 100 hours of turbo time!

I do hope you’re able to line up a few people with some serious hours on theirs. I’d love to hear their secrets as well!

Like others have said, congratulations Jeff on the highly successful podcasts Jeff! You, Jeff, Gary, and others have a wonderful thing going and I hope you’re able to continue these podcasts for a very long time! Great job sir!

Hi jeff, john, gary.,
Thanks for all your effort into putting these podcasts together. Got a chance and i listened to this latest one.
It was good jeff your comments about the turbo. I think it got mark and john fully engaged on the website to share information that a fix is on the way. People were getting dismayed and fustrated.

Keep up the good work. Looking forward to this years topics.,

Jeff and the crew - Just listened to this one as well, really enjoyed it. Looking forward to another year of podcasts - they help keep motivation up to keep on building. I do hope you're able to get Dan Weseman on to talk about the Corvair - he's an amazing wealth of knowledge and a really energetic, fun guy.

I especially had fun "dreaming along" about what the next model Sonex could be!

Love the podcast and want to say that you guys do an awesome job. I second the vote to try and get Dan Weseman on to talk about his Cleanex or corvair conversions in general.

In reference to the discussion about Sonex developing a high wing cruiser that uses a Rotax engine. It appears that the Kitfox has already done this with the Speedster. So there is a company that agrees there is a market for this.

If Sonex made an all metal similar plane, would that fit what Jeff, John, and Gary think Sonex should design? I'm thinking maybe a little faster, and maybe not so aerobatic.

Dan is a great guy, but very busy and I've been having a difficult time locking him in. If any of his aviation neighbors get a chance to drop by and chat, make sure to drop a plug for doing the episode. We'll keep working with him, but some encouragement couldn't hurt, either!
