Thanks for your advice. Since it's a quick build, Sonex is building the wings and fuselage. Did you say I could pay Sonex for flush rivets?

TD,

Yes, for the kit I know because I did that. I forget how much; that was around 2015. It is probably still listed on their options selection on their website or order form. For the QB, I don't know. Dimpling & c'sinking adds to the labor so it is no longer just a parts change. Sonex can answer that question.

Progress:

- Tail kit arrives tomorrow. Will pick up at XPO Logistics.
- Workshop shed arrives Nov 9
- Bought a horizontal / vertical band saw, table top belt sander
- Ordered climate control system: A Mitsubishi 9K BTU mini split heat pump. SEER 30. Heats down to -13F.
- Have pegboard organizer hardware

Any advice on how to inventory the tail kit?

Yay. Assembled my first pieces: Right and Left Hand Root Rib Assembly with 120 degree countersink drill and rivets. Questions:

1) One 1/8th 120 degree countersink drill plunged about 1/32 too far into the hole; I'm not sure why since it was on a plunger. One countersunk rivet of 23 is probably slightly weaker than the rest. Should I leave it alone or drill it out and put a slightly larger countersunk rivet in?

2) I'm confused by the Xenos Ruddervator Skin drawing page 9. Am I allowed to post an annotated photo of that portion of the drawing on this forum or is that totally illegal?

I would leave the oversunk rivet as it is. Potentially wallowing out the hole getting the rivet out would be worse.

I've seen sections of drawings so it should be no problem. But I am not the authority on the subject.

Made a hinge drill / index tool with aluminum tabs and oak. All holes are drilled identically.
