AeroConversions Throttle Quadrant

Postby tmritter44 » Sun Jun 30, 2024 7:54 pm

AeroConversions throttle quadrants provided by Sonex do not have enough cable pull length for UL350 engines. Initial trials on my Sonex-B are about 1/2" short. Has anyone devised a solution?

I made the throttle lever longer and fixed the cable higher up on the lever so I could get the minimum 68mm throw required for the rotax, the co pilot side also seems to have no limit so copying that might also produce some ideas.

I followed Murray's suggestion with good results. Moving pivot point for the throttle lever down & aft 7/16" added 3/4" of cable pull. Then attached push/pull cable to top of lever to reverse the action.
