Has anyone installed the ECHO in a Sonex? Instructions would be helpful!

echoUAT?

Download the install instructions from uAvionix web site.

I put the unit two braces back down inside the empennage. (First brace has the magnetometer.) Straight UP to the empennage for the SkyFy antenna hockey puck on the outside (using a redundant hole - which drove part of the decision). Straight down and into the corner with a short co-ax to put the antenna outside - this got it as far away from the transponder antenna as I could get it. Power wires back to the buss and included it in the avionics switch so it boots when you turn on the avionics.

I have, and it was an easy install. You can read about it here

http://www.sonexfoundation.com/uploads/ ... pdf#page15

I put the echo under the seat of my legacy Sonex and the antenna under the baggage bay. The GPS antenna is on top of my instrument panel.

I have a Garmin GTX-327 transponder and passed the ADS-B out check with little additional effort. I did have to make a slight adjustment in the echo, using the app, to meet specs.

If you have questions PM me.

I just installed the echoUAT and SkyFYX gps about a month ago I mounted the echoUAT on the side of the fuselage in the area to the left of the control stick. I mounted the GPS on top of the panel. It took me three tries to get it configured correctly but once configured, it is working great. It provides ADS-B out and ADS-B in on an iPad, iPhone, android phone or tablet or on an EFIS. I am using an iPad for ADS-B in.
