Trike wheel pant attachment on mains ?

Just another lack of clarity with my Waiex B plans…
WXB-L06 (wheel pants and fairings) indicates to use an An525 screw to attack wheel pant on outboard side of each main. I assume it gets screwed into the center axle hole?? But my axle hole is not threaded. Just wondering if, indeed, this is the right location? And, if the axle hole was supposed to be threaded or if that is a builder requirement NOT specified in the plan? Steve J
