Waiex-B Tail Kit Best Updates/Practices

Postby lakespookie » Wed Apr 15, 2020 5:32 pm

Hey all,

I get my tail kit Friday and have all my tools and what not on the way in anticipation of that I would like suggestions for any updates or lessons learned I know that the community has a bunch of great little tweaks that have been produced and would like to wrangle them all in one place if you have done something interesting, unique, enhancement, etc. with regards to the tail kit please post a link to your original post. A great example of the kinds of things I am looking for in a different kit is the canopy lock. Any Best Practices are also appreciated.

1. You will need a press to bend some stuff make sure you get one.
2. you will need a 1in pipe or socket or something of that manner to make the bends.
3. quadruple check before you bend something the plans are not the best especially with regards to the rudder end plates.
4. you will need a 3/16ths drill bit for the AN bolts to attach the tabs for the stabilator rib assembly that is made with the hockey stick.
