With my flaps set back to spec and a 6.5" length of 1/4 Dia drinking straw taped under the right aileron, left roll tendency is gone and I can fly handsoff. 6.5" was my first try. I make a small tab based on that.

Flying solo of course. Do you have a center stick? I found that when in trim for two up, it would roll left from the left side and right from the right side. Not by much.

Yes center stick. I should have also said I was flying from the middle...which is more comfortable for me. I suspect when I try from the left again it will roll a bit in that direction.

Flight number 5 today. I've noticed over the past 2 flights that the number 4 CHT is significantly cooler than the others. Typically #4 is 20 deg to 30 deg cooler than the max. 1, 2 and 3 are always within 5 or 6 degrees of each other, 3 always the hottest. RPM and MP are good. For example...in order... 356, 355, 358, 322. The #4 EGT is not the coolest. At what point is the difference a concern, if at all.

If your temps always stay where you see them now, you should be a very happy boy! EGT isn't actually very important. CHT's rule!

Revmaster places an EGT limit of 1400˚F. Does Aerovee have such a limit? Seems to be a matter of what the exhaust valves are made of. Lycoming does not have a limit on EGT as certified engines have more robust valve designs. So in my case, at least, I'd say that EGT IS important as far as maximum limits.

Jabiru also places EGT limits on their engines........1256 degrees when over 70 % power, for example on my 3300. It may be best to ignore Busch's advice unless flying behind a Continental or Lycoming engine.

You should... EAA has a "What our members are building" form on their website. You can choose a long or short format... I went short. EAA said they would let me know when they will include it. Kitplanes was even easier. I just sent a short paragraph and a few pics to editorial@kitplanes dot com and they had it posted in a few hours.

Flight # 7 this morning,
