ONEX tri gear

I have a photo of the tri gear Onex but it is too large to post. Can someone tell me how to reduce it below 256 KB. If I can't reduce it I will try to take another photo Friday. Lots of rain and mist here last two days but we are still having fun!

Here is the method I use to quickly resize pictures for posting when I do not have access to photo editing software. There are several ways to do it but I find that this is one of the easiest.

A big advantage to doing this to post photos is that they do not take up space on the sonexbuilders.net server. They are hosted by another free image hosting website. I'm not trying to endorse one specific site, but I use it and am familiar so here is a quick tutorial for posting images.

1. Go to http://imageshack.us/

2. Upload your file at 800 x 600, 640 x 480, or 320 x 240. 800 x 600 is the default resize. 640 x 480 is probably the best size for posting.


3. It will then give you several links that can be used for copying and pasting.

4. Copy the text in the box beside of "Forum Code" and paste it in your post.


5. This is the code that will be pasted:

Edit by Chris: I fixed it for you. You almost had it. Just have to put the Img tags around it and get the url from the text box beside "forum code" instead of the one beside of "link"

The Onex looks great! I can really see the tri gear becoming really popular for a lot of people. I'll be honest and say I haven't been the biggest fan of the looks of the tri gear Sonex but the Onex looks pretty good! Looks like it's getting close to finished too...

I believe those are fiberglass wing extensions to provide additional wing area for slower stalls. I think I read about them on the same post when Sonex was talking about raising the canopy.

If I'm mistaken, someone please correct me...

The larger wing tips give the Onex 84.4 sq. ft. of wing area to accomadate larger pilots and maintain LSA stall speeds. The option is there for a builder to build the 78 sq. ft. wing, which I plan to do as I'm not 250 lbs and I will still be within LSA parameters. I supposed one could cut the wingtip to achieve any sq. ft. number between 84.4 and 78.
