N21X: canopy

Postby N21X » Sat Nov 21, 2020 7:46 pm

Hi guys, thought I would share my procedure for prepping the canopy. Of course I have learned and adapted this procedure from fellow builders.

Step 1: cut piece of 1/8” paper board plywood to the turtle deck. Cut with jigsaw, screw onto table top, rip 1” piece a stand up vertical as a guide for the canopy bow to follow.

Step 2: I utilized two hole saws (3”-4”) worked well (pictured on the lower right of table).

Step 3 repeated: bend canopy rail as needed to fit in place.

A targa strip on the front and back of canopy will finish this off.
