Aero Injector

Postby Hasbenij » Fri Oct 11, 2019 4:26 pm

I am converting a tail Onex to tri and the aero injector was mounted vertical. The prints show the aero injector on a 45% to make room for the nose wheel.
Has anyone ever mounted the injector horizontal? This would mean a 90% hose connecting to the intake tubes.
According to the manual, the injector can be mounted horizontally but not sure if the fuel flow would be restricted.

Mine is horizontal (well maybe within 10degs). That's the stock way for an Aerovee Turbo w/ Aeroinjector.

Mine is mounted with the slide horizontal and the fuel line entering at the side/front. That is straight down under the intake with a short piece of flex tubing. It's twisted a small amount so the throttle cable can clear the gear tube, with the air cleaner on the bottom. Check to be sure you can clear the bottom cowl.
