inboard main spar

First time onex builder here. Have completed outboard spars and am currently working on the inboard spar assembly. Having difficulty interpreting the drawing and was wondering if anyone could clarify them. Especially having difficulty with the spacer plates on the end and the pivot plates. Additional drawings or photos would be helpful.

Thanks for the info. About an hour after posting I had an"aha" moment . But the pictures confirmed my revelation. Also when Torque in the an bolts on the spar to 25 inch pounds it didn't seem very tight. Was wondering if that is the right spec.

I thought the same thing about how little the torque value is. Referring to the AC43-13, it also states to not over torque and gives a value of 23 inch pounds for a 10-32 screw and 20 for an 8-32 screw. I watched a video that also mentioned to not get the desire to overtorque. One thing I did read in AC43 was to take into account the running torque so the final torque felt on the shaft would be 23 or 25 inch pounds. I take this to mean if it takes 3 inch pounds to turn the nut, the torque wrench needs to be set at 28 inch pounds to get a torque of 25. Have not found out for sure if that is what it means yet. I have not done final torque of my fasteners yet.

Yes, run on torque is the torque it takes to spin the nut. With nylon insert nuts for AN-3 bolts, I consistently measured them at 7 inch pounds.

So, if you torque them to only 25 inch pounds, that is not enough.
