How about one of the treatments in a spray can like "Corrosion X"? Just mist the insides, keeping it away from the cockpit of course.

I built an RV4 tail. Acid etch, alodine, epoxy prime everything. Since then I have changed religions. No primer on the Waiex except a few parts I made out of scrap 7075 I had laying around. I am never going back!

Hi all,
When building our Waiex, we found the duplicolor self etching primer in olive green color works well. Lite scotch Brite , wipe w acetone, spray . Can be purchased at Kragen/ O'Rielly Auto. Their sand able filling gray primer works good on the fiberglass parts. The primers really stick well , flow out , hard to get a run. Dry fast. Good stuff. Stewart water based epoxy on top on the outside, with Aerographics vynl decal trim.
