Negative camber of main wheels

Postby 752mr » Fri Mar 06, 2015 5:03 pm

After about 7 hrs of taxi and short runs down the runway I'm noticing what I would describe as excessive negative camber on main wheels of my conventional gear onex. Have never had more than 5 gal fuel in the tank and empty weight came in at 622 lbs. Anyone else seeing this?

While building Onex 107 last year, a tricycle version, I noticed the right wheel had about 7 degrees of Castor. It was toed out so much that it scrubbed when i rolled it aroound. The gear was manufactured wrong. The last bend about the right axle was made reletive to the angled side of the gear instead of the straight side. They replaced it. I don't know what the angle of the last leg should be but I don't have any camber in mine that I have noticed. And-----the gear doesn't spring much either.
