Would it be possible for you to take a picture of the steering hook-up inside the cockpit?

I don't have the connections to the rudder pedals drilled but I'll take a photo that will give you an idea of how it hooks up.

Got a photo sooner than expected. The Onex tri gear steering is a pretty straignt forward closed loop system. As soon as I stabilize the rudder pedals I'll tension the springs and take up the slack ahead of the firewall and drill the cable adjusters to attach to the rudder pedals. Then pull the cable tight from the rudder and drill the connection to the cable adjusters.

Thanks David .It is much appreciated.Pictures eliminate a lot of head scratching time,and I have been scratching a lot :)
As to the pulleys I think I still might use an anti-friction type ball bearing type only at the location shown in your pic.Those 2 pulley will be under the most tension because it is about a 15* change in direction .
I don't doubt for a second that the bronze bushing is totally adequate .I just think there will be less friction in the whole system with ball bearings at that location.As long as Kerry is fine with it that is.

All the planes I've owned have had differential brakes (except my fat winged Cherokee) so I decided to add some to my Onex. I fabricated them from scrap material on hand. They are simple but will free up my left hand from one chore.

They look great and it seems like they will be a lot easier to use than traditional heel brakes. Where exactly did you put the master cylinders?
I am still undecided whether to install the hand brake the plans call for and then if I am not happy go with something like your setup or toe brakes.

Thanks Kip, I like to fiddle. Mike, I've stayed with the original drum brakes as hydraulics would be additional weight. With machined drums these will be sufficient. I can use these as toe brakes alone or heel with rudder.

Reamer question, should I use a .373 dowel pin reamer to size the hole for the AN6 bolt? Or should I use a different style .373 reamer? My left wing is a perfect snug fit without reaming but there is a slight misalignment to the right wing holes.

Recently finished my Onex tail sub-kit horizontal stabilizer and elevators. It took ~2.5 months at ~2 hours/day.
Made, fixed and learned from some mistakes with the good and timely help of the Tech staff at Sonex. Expect the Vertical stabilizer build to go much quicker.

Very satisfying project. Enjoying my build and imagining the day when I can yank and bank till I grin that big grin we get when we do that - and in my own Onex.
