Former and seat belt interference

What is the general concensus to aliviate the interference between the seat belt attach bracket and the #3 former? I have seen one picture where someone looks like he took a hammer and made it fit. I was thinking about notching the former and reinforcing the former.

I notched and reinforced.

Yet another aspect of the build that has probably plagued the matched-hole crowd more than the scratchers. I'm sure the factory stand on the subject is "you are the first to have a problem" if you were to ask.

I opted to remove enough material from the shoulder harness bracket to clear the former, then put a doubler on the bracket. For me, it was easier to work with the heavier gauge material.

I notched the seat belt attach piece enough to clear the former. I just now looked at it and it looks like I only had to remove about 1/8 to 1/4 which I figured wasn't enough to worry about. If I hit something with enough force to make that piece fail I'll have bigger problems to deal with.
