I'm not sure that sounds right. I think once you square it all up and drill and cleco the skin to the ribs it stays square. I don't think the root rib holds the whole thing square.

But, I'll know soon enough. I'm probably a few days from that.

Kevin,
You are right that the skins hold the wing square. The root rib is not parallel to the other ribs (classic A model). If you drill the root rib to the angles when the wing is not square, you will have to flex the root rib to get it to line up later.
