WIX-C08 and WIX-C07 (optional dual control installation)

Postby Rynoth » Thu Oct 02, 2014 7:12 pm

I just want to mention this to save others from the panic attack I experienced today.

The Waiex by default has dual control sticks/lowered seat mod. I had already completed my seat installation. When I had a look at these 2 pages today it seemed as if -C08/-C07 were newer versions of the seat installation (among other things) and I may have to redo a lot of work.

It turns out that -C08/-C07 are actually for installing the "Sport Trainer" modifications... that is, center-placed flaps, brakes, trim, etc. I'm not sure why Sonex named it "dual control installation", but there you have it. If you want flaps/brakes/trim on the left side of the cockpit, you can ignore these plan pages.

If you want to do this mod, make sure you take into consideration the notes on -C07 prior to getting very far into the build for your forward fuselage.
