Due to popular demand, we now have B-Model cowling Side Cooling Vents available on the Sonex Web Store for separate purchase: https://www.sonexaircraft.com/eshop/cart.php?target=category&category_id=306

They may be mounted in legacy cowlings in most cases, and many have expressed an interest in doing so. A control print is provided a the link above so builders can ensure fit in their installation before ordering. These side-mounted vents reduce cooling drag by eliminating the need for a cooling exit lip normally used to counteract positive pressure on the underside of the cowling in a conventional bottom-mount cooling vent installation.

Note that lead time for these fiberglass parts are long, as they are usually only stocked in kit sets for B-Model kit shipments.
