Sonex Builders and Pilots Foundation update

Sonex Builders and Pilots Foundation update

Postby Sonex1517 » Tue May 28, 2013 8:36 pm

I wanted to post an update on the Sonex Builders and Pilots Foundation. We have been working hard on your web site, but still need input and technical content, photos, web links, and write-up's!

Recently, we have added a New Builders page, more photos, additional builders website links (recently organized by aircraft type), aircraft-specific pages (which are currently under construction), and several new articles.

If anyone has participated in the new Sonex transition training, we would love to hear about it. See http://www.sonexaircraft.com/support/t-flight.html

We have a new video link to Dana Baker's video on how to vacuum form the leading edge skins on the "Tips & Tricks" site. Excellent how-to video, Dana! Please visit http://sonexfoundation.com/Tips___Tricks.html

Please don't hesitate to pass anything along that you've put together. We are trying to gather as much quality content to serve the Sonex community as possible.

Also, if you have any "can't live without" tools, we'd love to post more tool reviews to this page: http://sonexfoundation.com/Tool_Reviews.html

We continue to seek out builders to put in our "Local Builders List" as someone willing to give a prospective builder(s)/owner(s) an in-person overview of you project and experience. One of the top priorities we have is to connect those interested in building and owning so at least they see the real-world side of everything.

So far we've been listing local builders on this page: http://sonexfoundation.com/Local_Builders_List.html with the name, geographic region, and email.

We have grown to 142 members, and submissions continue to flow in. Please visit http://sonexfoundation.com/Become_a_Member.html to sign up, and remember there is NO cost involved to join. We have members in the US, Canada, Australia, and even Norway!

This is intended to be a grass roots effort and we need your involvement and membership to succeed.

As a final note, we would urge everyone to visit http://www.americansonexassociation.org/events/index.html and sign up for the American Sonex Association's Crossville fly-in!

Blue skies!
