Looks good Bryan!! Keep up the pace! You'll be on the flight line at OSH 2016.

Thanks Michael! That is our stretch goal. Backup goal is to fly in 2016.

Normal neighborhood: Neighbor, can I borrow a cup of sugar? My neighborhood: Neighbor, got any silver clecoes?

Of course I could still borrow sugar too.

You guys are moving right along Bryan. Wait until it is time to deburr all those holes and polish the skins, time will seem like it is standing still again!

Had some friends over to help me get the LE skins off the shelf. Then it occured to me that it would be hard to put that skin on solo. Adam's buddy got his first chance to run some clecoes!

Leading edge in process. I need to flute a few ribs a little more to get the blue line where it needs to be in some of the most forward holes.

All I accomplished today was to buy wood for strapping down the leading edge, and flipping the wing over.

I bought Star Wars tickets for Monday too.

Some progress. For the trailing edge, I screwed a 1x3 to a 2x4. There is a 2x3 on top of the trailing edge with boxes of bucking bars on it for weight. Lets me push down on the leading edge while drilling. The first strap went on with just a little tension against the skin, and I put the trailing edge wood on next.
Image

Then I put two more straps on.
Image

Snugged them up a little more, then slid a 2x4 under them. I had an old flannel sheet to wrap it.
Image

Pulled it down to here then it was easy to remove the spar clecoes from the front.
Image

Tightened the straps a little more, the holes lined up, then I clecoed the forward skin to the spar. Next drilled into the ribs.
Image

It went easier than I would have thought!

Started working the Fresh Aero LE light install.

Big scary cut. One of my specialties.

Adam helped me flip the wing and we finished updrilling to #30/31 except the wing walk.
