Done with F9 on the flaps. Onto the ailerons! This can of F9 got really thin at the end and I had to stir it every day.

Done with F9 on the ailerons. Here is my polishing selfie. Yesterday Adam and I were both polishing and it goes twice as fast! Up until my cord got snagged by his buffer that was. Note the white electrical tape on the cord!

We have a bunch of cleanup before we go to Grade C. Also note that I have not wiped down this skin yet so it is better than the pic shows.

Here is Adam polishing the right aileron with grade C.

I finished the other side later in the evening. I have hangar neighbors that are always hanging out late. Took the aileron down to show them. Here is a picture of their nice polished C140.

Tip caps are painted. Next time I get Adam out there it is rivet time.

The ending should be called "When Polishers Attack!"

Here is the chief riveter going at it:

Ailerons done except for those pesky ones by the counterweights. Flaps are clecoed up and ready to go.

Another milestone: if you have followed my story at all, you might remember I was restoring a 1946 C140 for my old chapter, 533 in Elmira NY. I was separated from the project when Sikorsky closed our facility in 2012. They flew it today! Awesome.
