Great looking aircraft, how close are you to first flight?

Not sure,
Still have to get the engine running and finish the CofA related paperwork.
For the moment I'm in the middle moving house so that's taking up my attention now, still aiming to have the first flight within the next few months if all goes well with the engine this time.

Looking great. Especially for someone new to spray painting.

Had another go at starting the engine this afternoon, with much more success this time.
Here's a link to the video:

As you can see the exhaust wrap was smoking a bit after I stopped the engine, I understand this is normal when new?

Excellent!

My exhaust wrap did smoke a bit, yes.

It felt like my AeroInjector was running great as well with no tuning done yet at all since the rebuild.
I did install the 2.5 needle from the start this time around though and I did not have the air filter on at this stage.

It all ran great so far at every RPM setting I tried (1000, 2000, 2500 and 3000 at the end) but I did not do any EGT mixture adjustments on this run, just wanted to confirm it's running at this stage.

I will report more findings as I do more tests.

Regards,
Michael`
