Looks cool Scott! I feel sorry for you being stuck in the Med. You are going to miss all the mosquitos! I, on the other hand, will likely see them all.

Bryan, the travel to Europe is always a killer going west to east. Left Columbus yesterday mid-day and had one delay after another. Made every connection a mad dash...then to be followed up by ramp holds.

Did you know that Duesseldorf, Germany, has noise abatement restrictions and no flight can land before 6AM local time. So after scrambling to make or connection in Newark due to the delayed flight from Columbus, they pushed us back from the gate and we sat on the ramp with the APU running for almost an hour so we would not land too early. Then we had another connecting flight to Barcelona, Spain! At 6:00 AM local time (Saturday) here in Europe.

This is what my 11 year old son Liam looks like after about 14 hours of airline travel on 3 planes...

Then once we got out of the airport navigating the train and metro system was another experience.

Travel abroad makes you humble. You take for granted being able to speak and read the native language! Just waiting on some Sangria and Tapas (which just arrived) in our hotel room then it's time for the roof top pool!

Tomorrow we board a 7-day cruise which goes from Barcelona to Italy, France and back to Barcelona!

Remember, airline pilots get paid once the airplane is pushed off the gate and not until. That's how the airlines calculate their times.

I'm glad to hear all is well so far Scott! Have fun!

Well we are back from our European Vacation. The return flight home make me appreciate flying myself. I hate sitting for hours upon end in an uncomfortable seat with nothing to do...

Here's my favorite picture from the trip: (can you guess the location)?

So I rearranged my garage a little tonight and had my son and friend help me position the fuselage to start on the floor and spar tunnel. This should be fun!

No idea where the vacation picture is but the forward fuselage looks great!

I'd say that looks like the Pantheon in Rome...

You are correct sir!

Thanks for the comment Bryan. I'm looking forward to getting this stage of the fuselage done. Really want to get the airplane on its landing gear and the engine installed that's built and just siting there looking sad...

Making steady progress on the foreword fuselage assembly. The firewall and cross tie supports are in. Floor and firewall stiffeners are in. Upper firewall is attached with clecos.

Moving on to the spar zee tunnel. The forward zee is in, located and pilot drilled to the forward wing attach angles.
