Atlanta area hangar wanted

Postby Gripdana » Wed Feb 10, 2016 12:03 am

I am looking for a hanger in the Atlanta area maybe KLZU Gwennett County Airport. Does anyone have advise on the area? Are there any live in hangars around?

Dana,

I am at FTY in Atlanta. I have a T hangar and should be able to squeeze in a second Sonex. How long will you be in Atlanta?

Please PM me with the details

There are some live-in hangars and a bunch of fly-in communities in the ATL area. Generally anything affordable will be outside the class B ring though.

Thanks Glenn,
Is there a place I could find phone numbers for a live in rental? Or do you have any names so I can hunt down phone numbers. I am not sure if I need to find my own housing at this point but If I do I would like to stay at an airport or right next door. I think I will be working near KLZU Gwennett County Airport.

About how long will you need the space? I am in a large hangar with only one other plane (C170). As for housing you'd have to go off the airport.
Let me know and I can talk to the owner about what he'd charge to keep your Sonex in there with mine.

Not entirely sure how the rules work but I know one of the guys at work lives in a hangar @ 4A7. Also a guy at my airport who lives in an RV a couple weeks at a time in a hangar on my airport. Once upon a time there was a hangar/home for sale @ Seven Lakes airpark for 70k. I don't get to the north side of town that much so I'm not really sure what's available near LZU. There is a TON of small fly-in communities on my side of town. Maybe one of those has an apartment hangar for rent.

Mallards Landing
Peachstate
Eagle's Landing

Bunch more I can't remember right now.
