Separate Prop Crush plate/Spinner from Prop?

I removed my prop from Aerovee engine to change my prop for the Turbo I am installing. Problem is I cannot seem to separate the prop spinner from the prop. I have tapped and tapped to no avail!! Any thoughts or advice would be most welcome and appreciated. I COULD buy a new spinner but I'd rather not.

If all else failed. I would probably try heating the spinner with a hot air gun then tap the spinner with a rubber mallet?
