Sanding proud rivet mandrels

Postby Bryan Cotton » Sat Mar 12, 2016 2:56 pm

Some of our flush rivets had proud mandrels. I drilled a 1/4" hole in some flashing and taped it down. Had to make about 4 or 5 to do the whole wing.

The flashing protects the skins from the angle sander or your weapon of choice. When it gets thin into the trash it goes and I make another.

I used a dremel with a router bit and plastic screw on attachment.
