Modified cleco pliers

Postby Bryan Cotton » Mon Nov 23, 2015 3:05 pm

The rib flanges are small on the Sonex. Cleco pliers tend to get jammed into the rib and it is hard to insert or remove the cleco. I hacksawed and ground down a set of cleco pliers:

I finally smartened up and modified a pair pretty much like yours, but, only after spending countless hours removing all the scratches created during constant removal / install of cleco's during right wing assembly / riveting!
