Torque wrench calibration

Postby Bryan Cotton » Tue Feb 17, 2015 6:21 pm

Where do you guys send your torque wrenches for calibration? I would like to get mine done before I start building my engine.

Here is a video of how to calibrate your Torque Wrench:

The fishing tape is a good idea.
I initially did mine (HF cheap) with a set of weights tied to different lengths of the wrench.
Then I found a machinist with a calibrated Snap On wrench and we re-checked. It was pretty damn close but nowhere near the HF markings.
