Robbie,
Your airplane looks great! You are in the homestretch now. Hang in there! That airworthiness certificate and first flight are just around the corner.

Great work!

Robbie,

One more mile post past, looking good, hope to see it at a fly-in one of these days.

Seat Upholstery

Postby aferddaberts » Sun Sep 06, 2015 2:01 pm

Hello out there in Sonex Land (Waiex in my case),

Anyway, I'd like throw this question out there just to see if anyone would happen to know what would be a good average cost to have the seat upholstered. I have a quote of 1000.00 for leather (aircraft quality) or 700.00 for automotive leather. About 300.00 less for fabric.

Thanks Guys,

Al,

Not sure why your subject -- Seat Upholstery -- comes up under heading of: Build status photos, but $1,000 for good quality workmanship leather seat, back and stick boot(s) would be a great price. Paid about $700 for mine in Cordura Nylon. and that shop was also equipped to do leather upholstery (at much higher price).

Postby SteveWI » Wed Jan 06, 2021 12:01 pm

Anyone want a 99% done Sonex? In Eau Claire Wi. Ran a few years ago. Stuck on last steps (FAA and final test flights etc). :(
Thanks,
