Running tubing thru the wing

I have decided to install a angle of attack gauge on my Waiex panel and a probe on the wing opposite my pitot tube. Anyone have any advice or info on supporting the tubing to the probe? I want to mimic the pitot tube mount but that was installed while the wing was open. Thanks , Tim

Duplicate/fabricate the supports for the pitot/static tubing and run the AOA tubing using the same method.

Here's my blog post on the install of my LRI (Lift reserve indicator, poor-pilot's AOA.) My plan for the tubing is on the bottom half of the post.

This post is the completion of my left wing, and includes photos of my LRI, its tubing, and also how I ran a conduit to the wingtip in case I wanted to add wingtip lighting in the future.

I did exactly what Ryan did. Duplicated the fittings for the pitot tube hose, and made one as described here

While not as clear as Ryan's page, you can see some photos here

Why run both pitot and AOA sensor? I’m planning on a single Dynon AOA probe in Pitot position and running top port to both airspeed and a mechanical AOA gauge with an adjustable zero. Dynon manual indicates that should work fine. Folks finding otherwise?

Thanks
Mike

For me, because I followed the plans for the pitot, and decided to add the LRI probe at a later time. The pitot/static tube I had wouldn't support the LRI. Plus, I liked the redundancy of essentially 2 seperate systems for airspeed management. Since my airspeed is electronically displayed on a screen, the LRI is a mechanical backup to that.

Makes sense. Good luck. Mike
