I am installing my control frame and have a 3/8" Gap between the frame and the F16-06 Verticals. The plans call out a 16 1/2" Gap between the two F16-06 Verticals. The plans also call for the Mounting plates on the controls to be 16 1/4" outside to outside. This leaves a 1/4" Gap between the control frame and verticals, however my control frame from Sonex is 16 1/8" wide so I have a 3/8" Gap. The plans only call for 1 washer to fill the gap. Am I missing something? What did everyone else do about this gap?

Add washers, personally. By the time I got there I knew what tech support would tell me. I asked and they answered......add washers.

Thanks Robbie, I figured that was the case. It looks like I will need about 5 washers total.
On another note, it looks like the plans call for Symmco SF-812-3 for several places on the control assembly, and were included in my hardware kit. It seems these bushings are too short and do not protrude fully through the holes. The rotation is supposed to happen between the bushings and the plates they go through, so they need to stick out just slightly, which they do not. I ordered some SF-812-4 bushings that I might have to machine down a bit. Otherwise perhaps removing the powdercoat on the sides of the plates might be barely enough for the SF-812-3's to stick out.
