Work Benchs

I had a very good experience while building my Onex. I went to the local used/donated furniture store and bought two office desks for $35 each. They weight about 150 lbs each and have adjustable legs so they can be leveled. I first cut a 1 x 10 off each piece of the chip board and using the 2 x 4's made a shelf to hold all the parts. I cut the rest of the chip board shipping material down to 3 X 5 to cover the work surface. I was able to place my drill press between the desks while drilling and riveting the spars and they gave me a 3 x 10 surface to assemble the fuselage and wings. The drawers are handy to hold tools. The best part is when you move the plane to the hangar you can donate the desks back to the store.
