AeroCarb and Carb Heat

I recently purchased a 2007 Sonex, AeroVee, Tri Gear with an AeroCarb (not an AeroInjector). The official literature seems to say you should make Carb Heat available, but you will never need it. Do most builders install it or not? Mine does not have Carb Heat available so I am deciding if I should retrofit.

Given the nature of the AeroCarb's design, most people do not install a carb heat setup. The design itself does not lead to a place where ice can build, and with the entire installation being inside the cowling, chances of carb ice is pretty minimal.

Use your own judgement of course, but most of us fly with no carb heat and don't loose any sleep ;)

The AeroInjector is the new version of the AeroCarb. according to Sonex it has the same design but the body was lightened by approx. 9 oz.
