No EGT or CHT Readings: MGL MX1 with RDAC XF MAP

HI,
I have 4 EGT and 4 CHT and they all remain about 60 deg F even when the engine is running. Oil temp, oil pressure, fuel level, RPM and MP readings seem good. I checked my connections, they seem to be ok. My setup appears correct. I would appreciate any suggestions.

No personal knowledge of this system, but perhaps you can double-check you have correctly programmed the RDAC. For example, K or J type sensors.

Hi Peter,

I have a MX1. Attached is what my TC Channel page looks like. Also check to make sure polarity on the probs to the RDAC is correct. As I recall Yellow is positive (not red). I had made that mistake.

This will give you an idea of what inputs have valid connections (raw data)

SNAP! I just switched my RDAC for one of these on Saturday. To replace an early model RDAC. I can tell you that your polarities are correct (yellow positive) and the dip switches for RDAC SEL B and A are correct if this is your RDAC 1 (which your setup screen says it is).

The one thing it took me a bit of figuring out to get right was the EGT and CHT lead positions. The example in the manual is NOT intuitive. 1 thru 4 must be EGT's and 5 thru 8 CHT's if your EFIS "autosenses". i.e.- EGT's FIRST. Your setup screen shows that you can select. Your setup screen shows 4 EGT's followed by 4CHT's - so the question then is:

Are you sure you have the EGT's in 1 thru 4 and the CHT's in 5 thru 8. Cuz it looks like you MIGHT have them swapped and have the CHT's in 1 thru 4.

And try J type instead of K.

My wiring is the same as your pic. My sw setups are the same except that my rpm filters are off. I should have mentioned my raw data for the temp inputs are all zero which can't be good. Perhaps I'm shorting across one of the inputs. I'll need to double check that.
