Getting my wing kit tommorow and I was wondering for those that have gone the garmin route what kind of mounting solution did you implement for the pitot tube and i would appreciate an suggestions for location and best practices.

I ordered the purpose made access panel from this guy

I put it in the right wing just AFT of the spar and well outboard of the aileron pushrod thingee (drawing a blank in the name…). Used a mast I purchased from Aircraft Spruce, Gretz I think. Worked out pretty easily. Haven’t flown yet, but the angle of incidence looks close to zero.
Waiex 158 New York. N88YX registered.
3.0 Liter Corvair built, run, and installed.
Garmin panel, Shorai LiFePo batteries.

Its a very simple device and NOT brand specific. Don't overthink it. Here is a simple one that will work just fine in the Sonex recommended location. If you need convincing, Google Total and Static pressure.
