Curious to get a show of hands of those who have implemented ADS-B out solutions and what they did.
I'm waiting a bit longer myself.

I know of one EAB at my field who implemented the Skyguard system, but I've heard they had to send it back to updates after getting a call from the FAA to turn it off.
Navworx has both a portable and hard wired system for about the same price. That one has my eye right now.

I'm also holding off on both ADS-B Out and a Transponder. Hoping a nice inexpensive combo unit turns up in the next couple years.

No ADS-B - OUT here yet, just a Becker Mode C and no rush to upgrade. Rarely fly where even the mode C is required. Will see what options are in a couple of years. However, do have ADS-B - IN, linked to GRT Sport SX, and the weather overlay is great, and also good traffic notification. Much easier to access weather with that than on any smart phone while bouncing around in the air.

I have had ADS-B in & out for 3 yrs. using a Becker mode c transponder, I-Fly 740 coupled to Skyguard and a mini I-pad. Not sure how it ranks with all the big dollar units but I'm happy :)

I have the Dynon system with the unapproved ADS-B out (Dynon, Transponder, ADS-B in/out). To become compliant I need to buy their new GPS which meets the performance requirements for the 2020 mandate. It will cost me $590 to become compliant.

Hi all,
Will order the new Dynon SV-GPS-2020 , we have the Dynon 7 inch sky view with the mode s SV-261 TPX, and SV-ADSB box, and SV-250 GPS. Dynon website says u can leave the old 250 GPS unit in as a dual redundancy unit , just use a new serial port for the new 2020 GPS unit. They also suggest mounting outside the aircraft. I will try first next to the older 250 unit on the glare shield beneath the lexan windscreen. Had good reception there. Yep $590 plus shipping.

MIchael,

Let me know how this all works out. I have had the Dynon skyview for over 4 yrs. I have the Trig 21 transponder and the SV250 GPS puck. Read about the new GPS 2020 receiver. Not studied where I need to go beyond that yet.
Too busy getting ready to install new Camit 3300.

Hi Larry,
I went and re-read the dynon web site with all the info about the new SV-GPS-2020. Not sure if your Trig transponder will work with the new gps. Better give dynon a call. From what I read on the website only the dynon skyview , sv-261 tpx , and sv-gps-2020 will get u compliant. Dynon can also provide a certificate of compliance. I went online to order one from dynon, website says avbl fall of 2015, but their online store only lists the sv-gps-250(old gps unit $200). Went online to aircraft spruce , they list the new sv-gps-2020 $590 none in stock , shipped in 5-10 days. Anyone buy one yet?
