I upgraded my panel with a GRT SPORT EX EFIS. Attached are before and after pictures.
On the right side of the panel, I had to move my breakers and added a 3 amp breaker for a future auto pilot. I added 2 switches above the breakers for the auto pilot and one for the EFIS on the left side of the panel. I removed my G meter and slip indicator. I added a 2.25” ASI where the G meter was and moved my transponder to above the radio where the slip indicator was. I enlarged the opening where I had the EIS for the EFIS and then cut a new opening for the EIS on the right side of the panel where the transponder and breakers were. I need to get some new labels made soon.

It took me 3 days to upgrade , somewhere around 16-18 hours time. Not to bad. The EIS feeds the EFIS with all the engine data. I will add a magnetometer in the not to distant future.

I had my first flight yesterday with it and all I can say is after flying with just the EIS the last 6 years, I was in information overload. WOW!! Now I need to learn how to use all the data presented. It is a great addition to my panel and is just what I was looking for.

Looks good Jim. When did your Sport EX arrive? I've had mine ordered for months and I'm still waiting.

Thanks. I got it a couple of days before Thanksgiving. I'd give them a call to get a delivery date.

Looks great! You will love the data as you fly and will never go back to a plane without an EFIS.
