I painted the color coat and did the dry transfer labels today.

That looks great!

I painted my panel black and if I could do it over, I'd go with a gray or tan color like that. Very classy.

What do you think of the dry transfer labels? Easy to use?

Thanks for sharing!

The labels are very easy to use. The only thing about them is that I messed one up by pressing it as I picked it up and transferred to the table. I had room on the sheet for 2 sets but I had them do 1/2 bold and 1/2 normal print. I used the bold. If I had 2 sets in bold I would not need to order another sheet at this time. I was in a hurry to get this done and did not get all of the labels I need for the entire project. So I ordered another sheet with the additional labels for the trim, brake, flaps and other places I need after putting some more thought into it. The company I used will print in any color and do any graphics you send them. They get it done in a day and FedEx it to you. It is a little pricey but the panel looks professionally done.

I made the mistake of ordering labels too early in the project. By the time I needed them, they were "dried" out and wouldn't transfer cleanly.

I would be very interested in the company that did this for you. Could you share the name/contact ( PM or email me if you don't want to post here).

Much appreciated!

You might tell whoever did the labels to get a spell checker. They misspelled "amateur".

That could be the Royal spelling. :)

I caught the spelling this morning when I was looking at it. I think it is the "royal" spelling. I used MS Word to make the layout for the printer. The spell checker did not flag the word as wrong. I ordered the correct spelling with the second sheet. They already have it done and it is getting Fedex overnight. I'll have the panel done tomorrow night and clear coated in the next couple of days. Then I can populate and wire everything.

Looks great. I have to learn how to do that.

I was very easy. I composed the labels in MS Word. Then sent the file to the company I used. They imported the information into illustrator and sent me a PDF proof. There was enough room to have two of everything. The minimum is an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet. I cut out the label lined it up and used my hotel room key card to rub it onto the panel. It is that easy.
