A Sonex in Australia has one installed. I haven't seen it but have been told it is a bit clunky because the cables go along the sides of the fuselage to the engine mount as the strong point. I'll try to find more information.

We have one with a ballistic chute up here in the north as well.

A Legacy (#0180) DS SG with a 33A, built as EXP by two US A&P Mechs: beautiful, by the way, probably the nicest one I’ever seen. Exported overseas before first flight.

Engine and chute were installed once the plane was here. As already mentioned a little bulky because the webbing has to run along the fuselage right under the canopy frame hinge. It has never been used, though.

The owner of the plane happened to frequently travel to the US for work, and was in direct contact both with Sonex and Pete Buck. As I understand, it was the latter who eventually solved the structural issues.
