First Flight Sonex #509

Postby Sonex 772 » Wed Apr 30, 2014 12:24 pm

It was a cool and cloudy day on the SW Oregon Coast and was the perfect conditions with winds out of the North a 3 mph. My Sonex jumped right off the ground and flew straight as an arrow.. This is a really nice flying plane and can't wait to go on the second flight this afternoon if weather allows me to do so..

I am looking forward on flying off the first 40 hrs and hope to make it to Rio Linda this year.. After the 40 hour phase 1 is done this Sonex will be up for Sale.

Go inside with me on the first flight here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1dhfxJmAIs

Congrats on the first flight Mike! You have a great looking airplane!

I can't help but ask why you want to sell it after your Phase 1 is over? Building another? :)

Congrats! I hope I'll be doing the same later this month! Sans video, though.

I will be selling it because that was the deal I made with my wife, I built it for a for some thing to do and the cost of every thing to keep it, insurance, hanger space, ect.. is to high, plus I have another plane that I fly..
