Sonex N212AG - First Flight

Postby aganjoo » Mon Jun 30, 2014 3:31 pm

After nearly 3.5 years of building, my plans built Corvair Powred Sonex “WuzMal” meaning lightening took to the skies today for the first time around 0730 EST. The first flight lasted around 30 minutes was performed by the famous wing walker and pilot Chuck Tippett followed by a second 20 minute flight by myself. Wuzmal flew flawlessly and completely hands off after being trimmed. All this wouldn't have been possible without my EXTREMELY supportive wife, a very patient EAA Tech counselor and always helpful fellow sonex builders, special thanks for Dale Andee and David Clay.

Amit,

Good to see you have a very successful first flight! It will be hard for you to sleep for the next few days ... :D

You are more than welcome. I consider it a privilege to be asked and able to assist in any manner.

An extremely supportive wife is a very good thing and to have one is truly a blessing.

Congrats on a job well done!
