Morning all…Wayne here. First I’d like to thank Robbie for creating the announcement as well as the “Sign-up” page. He initially asked that people simply reply to this thread so that we could get a headcount, as there was an issue during creation of the sign-up page. That has since been resolved. So, I am asking….

PLEASE for anyone planning to attend to please sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090c4c ... 8-oshkosh1
So that I can purchase sufficient quantities of food for the cookout.

Even if you have previously replied to this thread, I would ask that you go to the sign up page so that I don’t have to chase around multiple places for an estimation for supplies.

Kathy & I truly enjoy sharing our location for the cookout and evening airshow and want all to enjoy it as well. I would hate to have folks disappointed that we run out of food because not everyone was included in the headcount.

Thanks…looking forward to seeing everyone in just a few more weeks!
Wayne & Kathy

Please RSVP by replying to this thread. We need a head count. By using this thread everyone can see who is going, who can drive, and how many will attend.

Thanks

Thanks Wayne!

Friends, this picnic is a unique event. If we did it on the grounds of the convention, the costs would be crazy. We are fortunate to have Wayne and Kathy invite us over for dinner!

Please sign up at the link https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090C4C ... 8-oshkosh1

If you need a ride then it’s important to sort that out. There is no formal transportation - we tried that a couple of times and it was not a long term solution. If you can drive, please let us know and if possible plan a couple of trips to help your friends get to and from the picnic.

If you have attended in the past, we look forward to seeing you again! If you have not, this is a very unique location with a very interesting opportunity to see the afternoon and night air show from an incredible perspective. Bring your cameras! You will not be disappointed.

Sign up soon so we can figure out how much stuff to buy!

We need more volunteers, my friends. Wayne needs help cooking (he starts early in the afternoon!) and we need more drivers and people to help clean up.

I bumped up the registration list limit to 100 since we are over 70 so far.

For those of you who have never been to this BBQ, for starters the price cannot be beat. The night air show occurs literally overhead and across the runway, and the afternoon air show is pretty cool from the east side of the airport also.

Best of all, you get to put faces to names and meet fellow Sonex pilots and builders.

If you’re going to Oshkosh, come join in the fun!
