2013 American Sonex Association Fly Inn (CSV)

Postby MichaelFarley56 » Wed Oct 09, 2013 10:44 pm

Hello All,

I know this is pretty last minute, but I was curious how many people are planning on attending the ASA fly inn this weekend in Crossville. I read that several people have already showed up with lots more registered.

It looks like it should be a beautiful weeked through the midwest. Clear skies, calm winds...should be perfect for the show!

I'm hoping to arrive on Friday and leave Saturday evening, depending on schedules. Hope to see you all there!!

We''ll be there, flying down Friday, probably departing Sunday AM. Putting fluid in the brakes today so I'll be able to stop once I get there!

Looking forward to getting over to KCSV. Unfortunately, will be driving as my Onex just got underway. Tons of questions to ask and lots of photos to gather. Hope to even beg for a demo ride...I will even buy the fuel.

Looks like about 27 aircraft here already (rough unofficial count on the ramp as I left for lunch). Perfect weather - great crowd! Come out and join us in Crossville!

Unfortunately, I have to drive again this year and leaving on Friday afternoon from Birmingham. Looking forward to meeting a lot of you and putting faces to the names from all of the Sonex builders boards.

As much as I hated to do it, after the group photos today it was time to head back home. The first leg was 1:25, then a quick fuel stop in northern Kentucky, and finally 1:00 home had me home before dark.

What a great show!!

The weather for this weekend was absolutely perfect for the 10th annual ASA Sonex Fly Inn. Sunny, partly cloudy, and calm winds brought out a record number of Sonexes. I'm not sure what the final number of airplanes were, but I think with a few new arrivals today there were over 35 Sonexes in attendance.

A special thanks to everyone for making this year's gathering the best ever!
