Hi everyone,

Please join us on Saturday April 25th, 2020 at 1500 central time for our fourth virtual fly in.

With this many participants we will run past the 40 minute Zoom time limit. We are looking at options to avoid this and I will post the meeting ID once we know.

This weeks agenda:

Isaac Shultz - His project walk-around
Peter Anson - Anson Engineering tailwheel options
Mike Neidenthal (and Maybe John Gillis) - Flyboys full swivel tailwheel and toe brakes
Tim Wrede - His "Bad-ass B" project walk-around
Gabe DeVault - Electric Xenos project walk-around

Tomorrow, Saturday April 25th, 2020 at 1500 central time please join us on Zoom.

Meeting ID: 595 392 2944

Password is the same - the model of aircraft that is the first of its line. Not the Y-tailed one, not the single seat version, not the motorglider. The password has an upper case letter to begin.

We are going to intentionally break this into two parts this week. From 1500-1535 is the first meeting. It will end at 1540 when Zoom terminates the meeting, so I am giving it a five minute buffer.

Isaac Shultz and Peter Anson are up first.

From 1545 to 1625 is part 2. Same meeting ID. Same password. You will have to rejoin then.

This will feature Mike, Tim and Gabe.

We are going to start labeling this a Sonex Builders and Pilots Foundation event, in keeping with our goals of promoting safety and building the community.

You don’t need to be a member to attend, and there is no fee. Obviously we’d love it if you joined as a club member, or better yet a voting member. But it’s not required.

You can join the foundation here. http://www.sonexfoundation.com/Become_a_Member.php

Please attend our fourth virtual fly in tomorrow and look for a snarky ATIS post in the morning.

Hi all,
I saw in the media that zoom will be rolling out zoom 5.0 with more security upgrades this weekend .
it should be transparent to us. i downloaded the app. that seemed to work better than just going to www.zoom.com.
see you all tommorrow!

We had 37 people join us today, including Carlos from Portugal and Peter from Australia. (I thought there were other international guests also, but couldn’t be certain)

Thank you to Isaac, Peter, Mike and Tim for presenting. It’s always cool to see others projects, and I know it gives me ideas every time.

We will do this again next Saturday. Jeff and I are looking for presentations. We’d like to see some new faces and projects, so please let Jeff or I know if you are interested.

If you think “my project isn’t interesting” please reconsider. EVERY project is interesting! We are a community of like minded people, and we would love to see YOUR project!

Blue skies everyone

John,

Did you ever get flyboys to sign on and take over your toe brake business?

We like Mike’s setup and he promised you’d make them for us. The people have spoken! Hahaha!
