That was great Robbie, thanks for hosting!

Good to put faces to all the names. Didn't realize how many were so close in the NE either.

I'm game for the next one!

That was fun - now I have an idea what some folks look like! But Robbie - next time we need to turn on the MINUS 20 YEAR filter........ :-)

Ryan - I did see you had raised your hand. At one point I mentioned it, but things got chaotic. I lost situational awareness.

I’m thinking for the next one I am going to start by posting an ATIS right before we launch. Put a post here with specifics of what we are discussing, the link, and the duration. You know, temperature, dew point, wind, and runway in use.

We will walk everyone how to use Zoom next time, and come up with a better structure for the organization of the fly in. We will also find a way to better answer messages people type.

I did not record it. If we are going to do that, I will only do it if we tell everyone in advance. I err on the side of privacy.

I appreciate all the patience. When Jeff and I first discussed this, we knew this would be a trial run. I think it was a huge success in that regard, and a lot of fun. We got to put names and faces together, share some time together, and connect. That’s a big deal right now for so many people.

Another suggestion was to break this out like the forum into topics - I could see that being a success also.

More to follow.

How about making it a weekly event. For some reason I am only hearing about it now...too late. But have another, I’m in!!!

Paul Dye wrote a nice report about the fly-in and posted to his Kneeboard Notes blog on the Kitplanes website. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Jeff, that made my day!

Mike - I believe I am very glad I did not pursue an ATC career!

I did not sign in on the Zoom fly-in, was concerned about warnings posted various places about using Zoom
https://www.npr.org/2020/04/03/82612952 ... bi-warning
and wondering if any of our IT guys can comment on this. Does look like the idea for the fly-in video conference is great.
