Wayne,
I am going to have to cancel my reservation ( 2 people) for Wednesday night. Mechanical difficulties are preventing us from attending this year. :-(

Hi all,
Sonex homecoming and open house lots of fun. Well attended. Thanks to john and betty and all the sonex staff.
If your interested in a all white sonex tshirt with the black/red 'sonex' logo on the front , look in the fly market at the eaa merchandise clearance tent. $5 mens/womens all sizes . If not at eaa , you should be able to order online. Plus the shipping of course.
Dont forget the membership meeting wed. 11am at sonex flightline.
Also the foundation bbq and night airshow at wayne and kathy daniels at 7th heaven wed 6-10pm

Glad you made it up Michael! Weather for Wednesday looks poor for the night airshow, do they roll it to another day for weather?

Hi all, bryan,
Thats a good question. Not sure if they would move it to another nite if weather a factor or just scrub it.
Was sure fun yesterday on the grounds. Good airshow, and the ultra lite area after was happening. . If any ones on the grounds wed morning free doughnuts coffee juice at homebuilt registration on the flight line , with eaa's own charlie becker. 7:30-9am. Enjoy.

I managed to sneak in Monday evening after the show. Camping with some friends in the south 40 (the very last row). Practically in Fond du lac!

BBQ still on if the show gets rained out? Can't remember if I did the RSVP this year or not.

Just got home today this was first time i flew into Oshkosh. It was the coolest! I spent most of my time with my friend at Titan both in ultra lites he is a dealer. The guys at Titan were very cool even though I am building a sonex. I like both aircraft; I just wanted something different. It's now time to get back at my project and get her finished. Every one loved the jets! Even Titan guys. I also got to sit in new B model and was impressed with the changes. I wished I could have been there Sunday afternoon to meet some of the guys but the weather didn't want to cooperate. Next year

"Camp Sonex" was officially closed today as I was the last one to pack up and depart KOSH for home. What a great show this year! In camping we had 7 Sonex airplanes, possibly others scattered about in various areas, and at least 8-10 more on the show line by the Sonex booth. To everyone that I had the chance to meet and talk with, it was really a pleasure to meet with you all, catch up, and talk airplanes! What a great community of builders and pilots we have, and it makes the experience so much more rewarding!

Traffic was brisk in the booth, and the Sonex crew got a good workout. Factory tours were booked up all week, and I trust it was a very productive show for Sonex. I'm sure they're looking forward to some time off to recover and catch their breath!

Going home I had a gentle 3-5 mph tailwind at 8500 ft (a nice change from headwinds everywhere I seem to go!), which had me home in 5.8 hrs, averaging 141 mph over the 820 mile trip, block to block.

See you all next year!

Jeff
