Due to family medical issues I won't be attending Airventure this year.

I have a room rented from Saturday to Thursday in a house in Oshkosh with Sonex enthusiasts Max, Peter and Mike.

It is available for someone just take over ~$430 payment.

PM me if interested.

Appreciate the offer but that's more than I want to throw down. Intend on hanging in the N 40 most of the week I just need to solidify Sat-Mon. I'll figure it out.

Looks like my scouts are coming up 7/30. Free if they are in uniform. Planning on coming up Wednesday, attending the BBQ with my two sons, and if Wayne has space for two more tents we will stay at 7th Heaven through Sunday.

Bob Meyers:

Got your PM regarding the room at Oshkosh.

Can't get a reply through to you via the SonexBuilders web. Doesn't work!

Please contact me directly at donbowen_200@yahoo.com and we can discuss.

Thanks!

I'm hoping to connect some faces with names and projects/airplanes at AirVenture. Anyone willing to post a picture of themselves with their airplane/project?
This is a picture from april. I have since finished the cowl fitting. I ran the Viking with the prop on for the first time last night. I love it. I'm camping the full week at Wayne Daniels' place.

Not sure if Rosie will make it. Waiting on a part. If I don't get it today, I might be rolling up in an RV (camper not the plane).

Just had a successful Denver - Chicago voyage yesterday, and am currently tied down at Lansing Muni visiting family nearby. Plan is to show up to KOSH on Sunday in time for the Sonex Open house!

I am giving a forum talk on Tuesday at 2:30pm about my current work designing supersonic aircraft, and how EAA and building a Sonex in my garage gave me the career trajectory boost that I needed to get there (posted more details in another thread). Would be great to see some fellow Sonex builders there!
